The Benfleet 15 race has been run for the last 17 years, and has grown and grown.
This years event got a massive 84% overall score from the Runners World rating system.
89% of entrants would return next year.
We had over 500 runners competing this year.
The race itself is a challenging 15 mile multi-terrain course, incorporating sections of
Canvey sea wall, and the undulating Hadleigh Downs.

As a little background information about Benfleet Running Club - we select a charity every year.
This year it was Bosom Pals, the Southend Cancer Unit.
The charity funds raised by the club principally through the fund raising efforts of the Benfleet marathon runners
this year will be presented by cheque to Bosom Pals, Southend Cancer unit.
The final sum raised was a staggering £ 11,500 pounds.
We make another donation at the end of the season, so advertising space purchased by yourselves will helps us off-set the cost of organising the Benfleet 15 run and ensure we can make further donations this year.
We also ask for charity donations from the runners if they make use of the free photo service provided;
