GREAT RESULTS and PICTURES from Round 3 of the Junior Sportshall event. Showing that the
youngsters can also triumph, we had Yasmin Robinson winning the
Girls U13 One lap race, and Second in the Two Lap Race. Also great performances again from Harry Sampson and Jamie Sergent, Jamie Greenhalgh, Chole Gough and Lottie Hinson. We are confident we will have a few of our junior athletes being selected for the Essex Team at the Sportshall Regional Finals next year !

The club has been awarded Sport England's Clubmark, which is awarded to clubs by National Governing Bodies (NGB) when the club is able to demonstrate that it meets the NGBs criteria as to playing programme; safeguarding and protecting children; sports equity and ethics and club management.

Our Clubmark Award is an acknowledgement that we take these issues seriously and that we are striving to provide a high quality and welcoming environment for young participants in the sport.
Our club
Junior
Co-ordinator is responsible for ensuring that our child
protection policy is implemented and can be contacted should you
have any concerns.
As
you can imagine this involves a lot of paperwork, and policies
that we need to adhere to, and you need to read and sign policies
relevant to you as a parent / carer and also your junior member
needs to read, understand and sign.
We welcome parents to all training and competitions and value your support.
We are keen to try and involve parents in the club.
All coaching is by qualified coaches who are trained
and have been screened for their suitability for working with young people,
and
have clearance through the Criminal
Records Bureau Enhanced Disclosure policy.
Rob Thickpenny (England Athetics) was on hand this week
at the Junior Club
to officially present us with our ClubMark Certificate
- March 2010
