Just a little reminder that the Trailfreaks night trail ... 'November Night Time Nonsense' is on

Wednesday 8th November from the White Hart pub, Stebbing.

I'll be there early so starts can be from 6pm if you want to get going, but you can start anytime up to 8pm. Runners will need a head torch and/or torch on this one ...

Did a reccee of the route and checked the route description this week and recommend you wear either Trail or X Country studs.

Also, as it's at night, for safety reasons I suggest that any runner doing this solo should carry a mobile phone or a whistle to attract attention.

If you are concerned about being lost in the dark why not run as a team with a few others .. should be fun in a group of runners. To encourage this there will be an award for the best team (maybe not the fastest.. could be the muddiest or most lost !)

VENUE: The Compasses Public House,

Littley Green,

near Chelmsford,

START: Any time from 6.00pm to 7.30 p.m. NB. Entry on the day only.

ENTRY: Affiliated runners: £3.00,

Unaffiliated £5.00 (includes 1^st drink).

This is the third consecutive year for this popular mid-week event which had 76 trail runners taking part in 2004 & 133 trail runners in 2005.

All race entrants must ensure they are suitably fit and able to read, and navigate all obstacles/instructions.

A Trail Running Association permit has been applied for & the race can be counted towards the TRA short distance race series 2006.

The race organisers can accept no responsibility for any injury or loss.

Note the pub is open from 6pm & does very good ‘Huffers’; a quaint Essex delicacy. Booking are not necessary if you want food. Please do not contact the pub about anything to do with race organisation, thank you.

A choice of two trail runs. The Dawdle (30K) starts from 10.00am. The Dash (15K) starts from 11.00am. Easy to follow written route description. Refreshments. BBQ.
