2007 instructions are below for your info, plus the map.
This is an event run for CLUB MEMBERS only,
and will be your last long training run before the London Marathon
(or any other marathon, or training you are planning)
You can run up to a distance of 22 miles.
i.e. you can run any distance you prefer, up to the full total of 22 miles.
You can elect to do any distance you feel comfortable with, or a distance that your coach has suggested would be beneficial to your training schedule.
This is your run.
It is your chance to do all the things in practice before the big day.
run the distance you want to, and the pace you have decided.
Please indicate on the notice board your predicted pace, and you will be grouped with like-paced runners.
You will have a designated driver who will take you out to the start, and you will have full support on the miles back to home (CLive's house)
You can opt to stop at any point along the course.
There will be water stations at every mile, from mile 3 onwards.
THIS IS AN IDEAL OPPORTUNITY TO TRY OUT YOUR
CARBO-LOADING TECHNIQUES BEFORE HAND,
RACE SHOES, SOCKS, CLOTHING, TACTICS, FEEDING TECHNIQUES
WAVING WITHOUT FALLING OVER, etc. etc.
